Asclepias Physocarpas Again

These pods are fascinating me this year. I haven't seen them dry and open like this so I worked with a light table and took more shots of them. Thought they turned out pretty great.

"I got a lot of balls!"

I harvested my Asclepias physocarpus And gathered quite a few of the oranamental pods. Great for dried arrangements! Although as you can see one decided to do it's thing and popped overnight. Guess I better throw that one to the wind. The monarchs sure it enjoyed it all summer and even with them munching on it it still seems to produce.
