The Box

I wonder who Little Miss Lady Chucklehead is that got to be the spokesgirl for the Easy Curl? Probably some ad execs daughter. I find her goofy and almost can hear her laughing. She made it on the box three times in the same pose. Kooky!

The outside of the unit is covered with large portraits of six stylish gals. I imagine a girl back in her boudoir, freshly bathed and wrapped in her pink satin bath robe, her toes cozied into her oversized baby blue fuzzy slippers, she rolls her locks and imagines transforming into one of these stylish lasses. Oh the hopes and dreams of the 1960's 'tween set.....

As for the hair.... Upsie Doosie!

Of course it is on youtube.

Thanks for this walk down memory lane! We had an Easy Curl at my house and now that my family is "distributing" items following my mom passing away, I requested the Easy Curl set as a memory of days long ago. I was disappointed to find my older sister had years before taken this item and isn't even a complete set. So, I started looking on the internet to see if someone had a complete set in case I wanted to buy one and came across your blog post. I always dreamed of my hair (which has no natural curl) looking like the stylish gals on the box. But, alas, a light bulb (like with the Easy Bake oven) does not heat plastic rollers to a sufficient temperature to curl my hair anything like these girls!
